i am drinking cranberry apple cider,
looking at the blogs of creative friends,
taking a deep breath after a long week,
needing introvert time.
thinking about getting a tattoo,
wondering why permanence is so scary (on multiple levels),
humming "what a wonderful world."
wishing i felt more inspired to write,
... i had a better book to read
... i didn't have to work so early tomorrow
... i could be in basel right now
... the people i love lived closer.
yet. loving philly, really,
meditating on a good sermon,
wanting to be the salt scattered that heals the city.
(2 kings 2:19-22)
needing,
hoping,
dreaming,
thinking,
sighing,
waiting.

Hi Rachel!
Just a quick note to say two things:
1. Your investment in the life of our daughter will always be remembered with thanksgiving. A very precious gift indeed! Thank you!
2. You really MUST watch her beetle video. It is beauty in simplicity!
Have a great day!

I can identify with many of your sentiments.
Waiting is difficult, and although I guess we are always waiting for something, sometimes there are more items on the waiting list than other times. Last year I felt so much in the waiting mode, while now it has slowly lessened... There are a few major areas where I am still waiting, though. Any time now, I'm happy to be done waiting. :)
I'm still going to call you; sooner rather than later, I hope. Love you!
